the littlest recognition

Tonight I was honored with not one, but two awards from the University of Bridgeport.

The Soares Outstanding Elementary Intern Award and the Lauren Rousseau Passionate Educator Award.

I am so blessed and so grateful that all of my hard effort has not gone to waste.  I give my heart and soul into both my internship and my coursework.  It’s relieving that it’s been noticed!

The Soares Outstanding Elementary Intern Award was awarded to only one elementary intern in the entire UB program.  There are a couple hundred elementary interns.

The Lauren Rousseau Passionate Educator Award was awarded to only one teacher candidate in the entire UB program.  There are hundreds of teacher candidates in the program.  Lauren was one of the teachers who lost her life in the Sandy Hook shootings.  To be awarded something in her memory is such a huge honor.

I am so humbled and thankful for all that I’ve been given!
