the littlest star

Tonight I sat in my hot tub and looked up at the stars. I just enjoyed sitting and looking at thousands of little lights. Looking at the sky always puts things in perspective for me. No matter how huge a problem may seem in my life at the moment, the stars remind me that I’m just a tiny speck and there are much bigger and better things out there.

Any individual who is motivated to make a permanent and important impact on our planet definitely can and will. My intention is not to make anyone feel insignificant. After all, the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones that do. :)

The next time you’re stressed about a project for work, some drama between your friends, or your sister is just driving you insane, head outside on a clear night. Try to find a place with minimal artificial light pollution, and just look up. Each precious light you see is a sun just as big -if not bigger- than ours. Put your problem into perspective, and don’t sweat the small stuff.
